Our Mission and Wildlife Conservation Efforts
Welcome to the Environment and Wildlife Club page, where our passion for wildlife conservation meets actionable initiatives for a sustainable future! Our club goes beyond traditional environmental activities by focusing on the preservation of wildlife and ecosystems, particularly endangered species.
We are dedicated to organizing educational trips that allow members to explore and learn about endangered species in their natural habitats. These trips not only provide valuable insights into the importance of wildlife conservation but also inspire a deeper connection with nature.
From raising awareness about endangered species to participating in expeditions to study and protect wildlife, our members are actively involved in hands-on projects that contribute to the well-being of our environment.
Community Engagement and Student Development
In addition to our wildlife-focused activities, we engage in a variety of impactful initiatives such as educating the community on conservation practices, organizing tree planting events, conducting beach clean-ups, and advocating for climate change awareness.
We welcome parents and sponsors who share our commitment to environmental stewardship to join us in our efforts to nurture and protect our planet. Together, we can create a significant and lasting impact on the world around us.
By joining our Environment and Wildlife Club, students not only engage in environmental sustainability efforts but also acquire valuable skills for their future. Through experiential learning, leadership opportunities, and a deep understanding of environmental issues, students develop critical skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
School Trip Programs

Maputo International School has a policy of organising educational field trips both within Mozambique and internationally. These trips are sometimes arranged by grade, subject group, or through special invitations. Regardless of the format, all field trips are announced well in advance to ensure that students, parents, and the school have ample time to prepare. |
Outdoor activities, such as these field trips, are essential for fostering student growth. They provide opportunities for students to connect with one another outside the classroom, strengthening bonds and promoting teamwork. Additionally, field trips allow students to relate theoretical knowledge to real-world applications, offering hands-on experiences that deepen understanding. Exposure to different approaches and environments also broadens their perspectives, while helping them develop responsibility and independence. Most importantly, these experiences ignite curiosity and can inspire a lifelong interest in specific areas of study, encouraging students to explore new fields and potential career paths. |

Each class at MIS has two class representatives, who also serve as prefects. These students play an active role in the daily school routine and are empowered to propose and organize activities that contribute to enhancing the overall educational experience at MIS. Their leadership fosters a collaborative and dynamic learning environment for their peers. |
